I don't want to really say this out loud since I'm also the person that complained all Winter long about being cold and hating the snow, and the sleet and the bitter cold... and I was also the one that could NOT wait for warm weather and Summer months... yeah, that's me. I'm raising my hand... but I just gotta say it....

It is hot here and worse than hot... it is HUMID! WTF??? You sweat in the shower!! Come on now.



So that is all there is...... well that and I'm a little bitchy from it.

Recap...

Here is a recap of the last few weeks, I'll be fairly brief... but you all know me, that isn't easy. : )
So.... lets see. The last post I did was on August 10th... well on the 10th, it was a Friday, we went grocery shopping. Yeah, I know this is what my Friday nights have come down to... a BIG night out to the grocery store with the whole family. YIPPEE... but we did go to dinner first, so I guess that makes it a little bit better. We were still getting everything ready and set for our big camping trip to Connecticut!! Everyone was pretty anxious... well the adults at least and my 11 year old nephew... my kids didn't really understand or know what was going on. Trevor, even told us that he rather stay home with uncle Ralph (my brother) then go with us. He didn't mean it in a way that staying with uncle Ralph would be bad, and going would be worse.. he just thought he would have a good time with uncle Ralph and not such a good time camping. : ) The mind of an almost 4 year old. But, anyway, back on track. Saturday we hung out all day, and packed stuff in the camper, although I had been packing all week. I packed everyone's clothes, and some junk. Bryan got all the bigger things ready, the grill and chairs, kids little picnic table and bikes. Sunday, we had a birthday gathering for my mom's birthday. Her actual birthday was on the 14th... Tuesday, but she would be in Connecticut, with me and my brother Ryan and everyone, but Ralph and Jamie and Julie wouldn't be there, so we had a gathering on Sunday. It was a surprise. : ) I made some angel food cupcakes and some loafs of angel food cake too.. they came out really good. I used my new silicone bake ware. LOVE IT!! Cools fast, cooks well, easy to clean up!! : ) I also had cut up some strawberries and they were marinating in their own juice so they would be really yummy with the angel food cake. I also had some really, really good blueberries, and I'm not usually a blueberry fan. I find them mostly tart and or not a pleasant taste... but these were really tasty. We also had some Cool Whip topping for the cake and fruit, and some vanilla ice cream on the side! It was YUMMY!
Okay, then we came home from that... well let me rewind some... after some cake and all that... we were outside hanging out and the boys went in the pool... by boys I mean, Trevor, Matthew and Bryan... they had a good time. : ) The little girls ran around playing and happy... and the rest of us just sat around and talked... it was nice. : )
We came home, got the kids in for mini naps, and started dinner and packed some more. It was a good day. : )

Day 3 of OUR Summer Vacay!

Here are some more pool pics from Day 3!! I know I'm kind of behind on posting the pics on the right days, or near the right days, but you can figure it out I'm sure.
Anyway... I can't keep em' out of the pool. Last night it was a little chilly so we decided no pool. Yeah right. Trevor was the first one to go right in. He was using a pampers box as his boat. He said it floated for a little while. LOL ; ) Wish I had some pics of it... but I wasn't home at the time and the camera was with me. Then when I did get home, with the girls, I was outside talking to Bryan before I came inside and the girls got right in the pool, fully dressed... shoes and all! I have some pics of that to post... But I have to upload them from my camera, and I can't right now. Brooke is working for the OSCAR for most DRAMATIC actor! So I better get going. Who knew sitting in your booster seat for a few mins after your breakfast was gone would be soooooo traumatising... I swear! UH!

Here are some pictures from today, our second day of "Summer Vacation"! The water was cold at first... but it wasn't too long that they were all soaking wet from head to toe and loving every minute of it!

And what better of a place to eat ice pops then in the pool??? Eat and stay clean all at the same time! ; )

Oh, and did you take note of Trevor's fancy new hair cut?? I have to confess... I did it. : ( I didn't mean to cut it that short!!! There are a few really good things about it though, one is that he really LOVES it.. he keeps touching his head, I think he must like how it feels, two is that it is a good haircut for summertime, he'll be nice and cool with no hair, or VERY little hair that is! Three... it will grow back, and probably faster then I think it will. ; )

I am totally loving having Trevor home all the time!! Today is his second official day of Summer vacation! ; ) Things are going GREAT! I'm really determined to have a really fun filled summer with the kids this year. They are all at a pretty good age to do a bunch of stuff... so we are going to do be doing and going as much as we can without killing ourselves!

Yesterday the kids all got up at their leisure, which was really nice for Trevor, he has been having to get up at 7:00 AM every week day... so I'm sure without totally realizing it, he enjoyed sleeping in and not being nagged to get up and go to the bathroom, eat and get dressed. I am very much a morning person, getting up early doesn't bother me so much... but Trevor on the other hand... not so much a morning person, at all. Well, he does get up pretty early on his own, but he doesn't want to be rushed to do anything. I guess I can't really blame him.

Well anyway... yesterday once everyone was up and about well all ate some breakfast and hung out. The kids all played with some Matchbox and Hotwheels cars, and were having a blast and getting along super well!! I was proud.

Then we got dressed and headed off to my moms house... it is only about 5 minutes away. We got there and hung out... the kids got to play with Julia... their cousin. It was nice. We had lunch and then everyone went outside to play. I really want to try to get the kids outside a lot this summer... it is good for them, they LOVE it.. and it will cut down on all the crap all over the house that I will have to clean and pick up! LOL
