Good morning!!

I am such a putz...

I got this really nice award from

the other day,

and have been meaning to put it on my blog...

and am just such a scatter brain

that I haven't done it yet... duh!!

Sorry April.

I really do love the award... and haven't gotten

many awards at all on here, so it is

really a pleasure to get one.

the rules for this award are pretty simple...

link the person that gave you the award.

which is the Lovely April

(thank you again!) :)

Next you have to pass it on to 7 other bloggers!

MY SEVEN ARE:

April ~ even though you obviously already got it... I still think your blog is lovely.

Jenn ~ all three of your blogs win this award b/c I love them and you!! (of course) :)

Sam, Missy & Alex ~ you are a hilarious chick and I really enjoy your blog

Stephanie ~ I love your blog, heck I love you and your family and all your stories.

Aubrey ~ I know you got this from April too, so you don't have to pass it on again, just wanted to give it to you also. :)

Kellie ~ we connect! I love reading your blog and most of all seeing pictures of your BEAUTIFUL daughter and YOU!! (you need to post more pics of yourself!)

Andrea ~ totally cool and has the BEST ideas for making things and decorating and make up tips and is very friendly and so sweet!! :) love your blog!

There are a lot more... but for now I have to get some house work done.

I might be back to post 7 more blogs that I find LOVELY!:)

*we all know I'll be back today b/c I'm a major procrastinator and since I have a HUGE list of "to do's" today I'll be here a lot. :) *

TGIF

Thank God It's Friday!

I have typed this post over and over at least 4 times now. I just can't seem to get it right. I always just sit here and sort of type away... thinking but not using all my brain power. Just sort of rambling on the keyboard and having it spill out into a half-assed post.

Not that I need this post to be something meaningful and spiritual or anything like that.. but just something that is worth reading and that maybe I, myself, wouldn't mind coming back and reading at some point down the road.

I love blogging. It's a release and very relaxing for me. I can be me, I can vent, ramble and get things off my mind and chest. And almost all of the time, in not all the time, I get positive feedback, love and support. No one is judging me here. There is no crap, no drama... everyone is friends. I wish my life could operate this smoothly.

So I'd like to be better at writing on this blog. Make my posts more organized and interesting. Just I'm not sure how to do this... so if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to share. I'd love to have some different ideas on how to make my writing better. (thanks in advance!)

*back to the original scheduled post*

Friday? How did that happen? I'm happy it is Friday but at the same time, I'm not sure how we got here already. Time is running away from me. I think it is because I have a lot on my plate right now and it all has a deadline on it having to be done.

Of course, the biggest serving on my plate is a triple heaping pile of steamy NEEDS-TO-BE-DONE-&-NEEDS-TO-BE-PERFECT-CHRISTMAS. This year they are all into it. They all "get it" they all ~*BELIEVE*~ in Santa... this is a magical year. I can't afford to not make it perfect... but at the same time I'm struggling to afford to make it Over The Top perfect ~ best Christmas ever! I have to find balance. They are 5 and 3, they will be excited no matter what. They will LOVE what Santa is going to bring them. I think this is just me, that is thinking there needs to be more and bigger and more and better stuff.

On the side of the heaping of CHRISTMAS is the dreaded HOUSE!! The big bite that I took that is getting to be a little too much to chew... yeah. that one.
They haven't started our foundation yet... it was supposed to be started LAST Tuesday. They forgot to mail the check to the contractor... oops! (I don't buy it, but whatever!) He hasn't started YET!

Bryan is working on our bedroom downstairs, just half of it so we can at least put our bed, nightstands and some boxes down there and get them out of the playroom. We will probably finish the other half and the WI closet after the new year. This Saturday, in fact, you will be able to find Heather and I knee deep in primer... everything should be dry and ready for a first coat. yay!! (thank God for Heather and her LOVE of painting... I really do love that girl!)

Bryan and Chris have also been working on The Man Cave aka the bar area and a bar for in it. They have big hopes, dreams and aspirations for their Man Cave... some aren't even close to reality.. but we let them dream, plan and play. It keeps them from annoying us for a little while. Plus we are having out Third Annual New Year Eve Bash!! So to have the bar area finished or at least partially done so we can use it will be cool. I'm not sure how much they are going to be able to get done in there, but we'll see.

Along with Christmas for the kids is all the decorating of the house. My living room is pretty decked out... but once our bed and stuff is out of the playroom I will have to get a move on cleaning and organizing in there to decorate and put the tree up. We are going Sunday on an annual family trip with Bryan's side of the family to get our Christmas tree. (I'm not looking forward to this too much... I'm expecting LOTS of drama... and I'm soooo NOT in the mood for any more drama!)

Well speaking of heaping loads of stuff on my plate... one of my little heapings is here crying and whining at me LOUDLY... she is just full of drama and upset today. Her heap on my plate is covered in whine, tears, fits, laying on the floor and occasionally yelling. Isn't it great to have TWO three year olds to be able to enjoy this in STEREO?? Why yes!! Yes it is... that way I'm sure to not miss one single solitary minute of crying, whining, fussing, foot stomping, fit throwing, temper tantrum having, begging, pleading, squealing, screaming, yelling, laughing, singing, talking, giggling and all that. Some of it I really enjoy... the other 75% of stuff I could totally live without and would be fine. Maybe I should explain this to my girls... that they could knock off all the girly drama crap and I would be able to go on with life just fine. Hmm... I might have to try this.

Well I should really get up off the computer, do what I gotta do and get it done so I can pick Trevor up early from school. I have to get them all ready to go the doctors for the HIGHLY ANTICIPATED Shot Day!! ~ BTW Trevor was fussing at me yesterday about "Why do I have to wait till tomorrow to get my shot?? Why can't I just get it today?" I asked if he was nervous for it and just wanted to get it out of the way or something... and he said "No. I'm not nervous at all, I just want it so that I can be healthy. It only hurts for a second, why would I be nervous?"

Some of you yesterday were shocked by my children's reactions to wanting to get shots... and honestly I'm not sure how we did it... but they are all really good about it. Trevor is the BEST, he sits there and takes it like a champ... always has, since he was old enough to understand what was going on. The girls are getting way better with it, but are still little so they may not totally get it... but they are anxious just the same. We DO NOT buy them toys or reward them for being good about getting shots. We DO NOT torture them with nail guns or other horrid things so they are used to pain. We DO NOT talk about it like it is bad either though... we make it like is sort of good thing... after all it is to keep them healthy so it is a good thing... and we are just very honest with them... when they have to get shots, we just tell them straight up that at their appointment they are going to get a shot and that it will pinch/hurt for a second, but they will be fine.

I'll let you all know how we actually make out tonight... they are all getting flu shots. Then next Tuesday the girls are getting three year old shots. By then the memory of today will still be fresh so we'll see how excited they are to get shots then.

Well I have procrastinated to my maximum limit today so I should be going. I'm sure I'll be back since procrastinating is my Thing and I have a lot to do and a time limit on getting it done. Yep, that's how I roll. ;)

Meme

I found THIS great blog the other day ~ Delta Kids ~ and I went there to visit today and found that April had tagged me for a meme. :) Since I'm trying to reach my 365 posts this year with out doing the formal blog365 thing of every day posting, and I'm short about 80-something posts, I'm happy to do a meme. Something fun and interesting instead of the other crap I was going to post. lol

Here are the rules:

Link to your tagger and list the rules
List 7 random facts about yourself
Tag 7 people (and make sure you check back and see what they say!)
If you're tagged, play along and pass it on

1. I LOVE coffee!! But I will only really drink French Vanilla coffee with French Vanilla creamer or reg coffee (if I have to) with FV creamer. BUT I love it. :)

2. I LOVE to have my hair cut, played with, brushed, styled anything... BUT I get the weirdest feeling... sort of like chills or pin and needles down my back and arms when I get my hair washed at a salon.

3. (for new readers) I have three children. I have a five year old little boy who's name is Trevor and he is ALL BOY ... ALL the time!! lol and I wouldn't have it any other way! :) I also have twin girls, Lauren and Brooke, they are three...(my son turned 2 and a week later I had my girls.... natural!) and full of drama and they are most definitely ALL GIRL, but not all the time... because sometimes they like to act just like their older brother.

4. I LOVED being pregnant!! I would do it again and again and again if I could. I would do it for other people too, but my husband and I have a little difference of opinion on that... so for now I haven't pursued that option ... YET! This is something I'd really love to be able to do for someone... what greater gift than the gift of a child/life for someone? I can't think of one.

5. I am a stay-at-home-mom, and I am not very good at it. I want to do more with my girls... teach them stuff and play with them more... really enjoy this time with them, because I know it is going to go by in the blink of an eye... in fact a lot of it already has... three years already wow.

And I know I'm going to miss them very much when they go to pre-school next year because I miss my son every day... it has gotten easier because he is very happy in school, but I still miss him.

6. I read the Twilight series and LOVED it!! I also went to see Twilight the first night it was out... sometimes I think I'm a little too old to be so into Twilight and (blush) Edward Cullen... but then I just rationalize that I JUST CANNOT help myself!! lol I really loved the books. I can't wait for the Midnight book to come out!! I read it online, what is there at least, and am hoping it comes out soon!!

7. I was a dental assistant before I was a SAHM and when I go back to work I'm not sure what exactly I will go back to doing. I loved being a dental assistant, but not sure if I will go back into that field or not. As of now, it is what I would like to do... I know it and love it and don't have to worry about what I will wear to work each day... scrubs are so easy, but I'm not sure if it will work out for me to do that again. We'll see.

So that is all there is about me... at least for now. :)

I usually don't tag anyone... but this time I will... if you get tagged and want to do it... great... if you can't or don't feel like it... that's okay too. And if you don't get tagged but want to join the fun... please feel free to. :) let me know in a comment and I will add your name and link you so that everyone can check yours out!! :)

I tag:

  1. Pregnantly Plump
  2. Amie
  3. Just Jamie
  4. Milly
  5. B Boys Mom
  6. Angie
  7. Tattooed Minivan Mom

Helping Out

I was over at Lou's blog today and he had a great post about helping others around the Holiday Season. It isn't always what you first think of when you think of helping others out at the holidays. Depression is a major battle for some. It can especially get worse around the holidays.

Well... (from Lou's blog)

Zoeyjane of Mommy is Moody is DOING something. She is donating all the revenue from her
advertisements on her site, for this month, to
To Write Love On Her Arms. Go to
Zoeyjane's site and read
This Post. She gets paid by 'Impressions'. Just going there helps.
Click on her ads - and help more. Click through to
To Write Love On Her Arms and see what
they do. Just doing that will help, too. This paragraph is going to appear at the end of each post, each day until the end of the month on Lou's blog. As a reminder. Just click through. And help. Save the women and men and boys and girls that don't need to live without love, that don't
need to suffer addiction and depression, that don't need to die.

Thursday Thirteen!

Thirteen Things that Makes me NUTS!!
  1. Two 2 yr olds crying and whining at me all day long! And for. NO.APPARENT. REASON. WHAT-SO-EVER!
  2. Telling my kids, please pick up you toys about 7 times in a row. Then picking them up myself to save the hassle, going to get the vacuum and come back to the same mess that I. JUST. PICKED. UP. 2. FREAKIN'. MINUTES. AGO!!
  3. My husband calling me just to say hi, then being annoyed at me for being annoyed with the kids and venting to him. He didn't want to hear it. (boo hoo for you! too freakin' bad!)
  4. My husband having the balls to say I'm in a bad mood... well no freakin' shit. I know I'm in a bad mood... that isn't earth shattering news! duh!
  5. My girls haven't had an accident in two whole days in their pull-ups, not ONE... but today in their new underpants, they have each had THREE! Yes! 3! WTH??
  6. Not being able to tell the girls how frustrated I am that they don't pee their pull up AT ALL, but they are peeing their underpants! (can't really scold them, they are only 2 and just learning... but still frustrating for mom!)
  7. That the dog was out for 10-15 minutes then came in and within a minute peed on the carpet by the door.
  8. Whining kids! My kids have lost all ability to speak today and all they can do is whine at me. I. AM. LOOSING. MY. EFING. MIND!
  9. Having a ton of house work to do while the kiddos nap!
  10. STUPID PEOPLE! & BAD DRIVERS!
  11. My inability to stay calm and not get so frustrated and annoyed b/c my kids are cranky today. Really. I should just get a grip. It is making me nuts that I can't even handle a rough day with my kids. I should be able to figure them out by now and know what to do to make them happy. UHH!!
  12. My kids DO NOT (not at all, not even a little bit) act like this for my husband.
  13. This Winter weather!! I have had enough!! Today, okay yeah. today is alright out.. the sun is shining and it isn't so unbearably cold out that you can't even breath b/c your nostrils freeze shut... but that is ONLY today... tonight or tomorrow some freakin' time we are gong to get SLEET, FREEZING RAIN and snowy mixture or some crap! Totally NOT in the efing mood for that shit!!
  14. I could con't on... but really this is getting quite bitchy and it is ONLY Thursday 13!! I've already over done it!! oops!!

1234567... Things about ME!!

Rules:
1. Link to the people that tagged you and post the rules on your blog. 2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself 3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs. 4. Let each person know that they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Hmmm. This will be hard. There isn't anything weird about myself. LOL ;o)

1. I love to eat the skin off of chicken & turkey... cooked of course. It is so crispy and just delicious! Yummy!

2. I used to organize my closet by color... all the same color shirts were together in shade order, ie darkest to lightest or vise~versa... but I would do Bryan's clothes and my clothes that way... now I don't even have a closet.

3. I pick my kids noses when they have "a bat in the cave". LOL Yeah. When my kids have a booger in their sweet little noses, I usually just pick it out... then eat it. JUST KIDDING!!! lol I do pick it BUT I would NEVER eat it. I know this said weird not disgusting. ha!

4. I once at fish cheeks. They were cooked. And actually really tender and yummy! I quite enjoyed them! : )

5. I can one up the fish cheeks.... I once at Fish Eyes!! Yes. Fish EYES. I was out to dinner with some co-workers and bosses and the one dentist was a ol' time fisherman as well, and he asked me if I had ever had fish cheeks or eyes. I said no. He asked if I would like to try them... so I did and they were surprisingly really good. ;o)

6. I always want to stock my house with tons of non-perishable foods, because I'm afraid that one day I will just need it and have no way of getting food for my family. I love to have cans of stuff and pasta, and paper products galore. I would be worse if our grocery bill wasn't so high already, so I try to use up what we have and only buy the essentials.

7. I love the smell of my children's breath still. Even though Trevor is four, his breath is still so sweet, I just love it... and the girls too... they all have that sweet little breath. I just love to kiss them and smell their breath.

Now it is your turn... I'm not going to tag people, but if you would like to do this it is all you. Just leave me a comment that you are doing this and I will check out your blog to read all the interesting facts of you!!

I'm late...

I'm late on getting to post every day for the month of November, for National Blog Posting Month. :( Oh well. I guess I will just try to keep up with posting every day for the rest of the month. We'll see if I can really do that too, but I will try. :)

Anyway, I guess there are a lot of updates since the last time I posted... but way too many to post now. I have to do some more stuff around the house from what I started yesterday. And, I have to start dinner so it will be ready when Bryan gets home.

Well I did start dinner and I re-arranged Trevor's bedroom for him, and cleaned it all up before he got home from school. I wanted to do it for a surprise! He loves surprises! Plus, he has been doing really good in school (when he goes, another story) so I wanted to do something extra special for him.

Sunday I had moved some furniture around in the house and straightened up the girls room, and was trying to clean the house... and make some changes at the same time, and Trevor asked me if I could fix up his room and move it around. So that was what gave me the idea. : )

He did love it. ~ I'm finishing this post on Tuesday 11/6 so that is how I know he loved it.

I'll post some more later. I have to do some things around here, as usual.

~ Hi. Glad you stopped by. Come on in, kick off your shoes, put your feet up relax, grab a drink and stay a while. ~
