Things to Remember...

Brooke & Lauren love to refer to each other as "my sister" when talking to anyone, except each other.

Trevor doesn't care if I go to the store with out him, while he is in school, because he knows I'm really busy and have to things without him sometimes. (his words) AND if I bring him home Skittles. :)

Trevor ~ "Kids at school and in my class don't all dress fancy, they just dress the best they can."

Mommy ~ "What makes you say that honey?"

Trevor ~ "Because I have a lot of clothes and some of the kids in my class don't. But that is okay.

Hey, maybe I can give them some of my clothes."

Mommy ~"That is so nice of you. You are such a good boy to want to share what you have with

your friends."

Trevor ~ "oh. they aren't my friends. they are only in my class so I have to talk to everyone."

Mommy ~ "oh. okay." :)

Lauren ~ "mommy when are you getting your voice back?"

Mommy ~ "I'm not sure honey. But I hope soon."

Brooke ~ "well who took your voice?"

Mommy ~ "no one took it honey it is just gone for now."

Lauren ~ "well you shouldn't loose it Mommy."

While packing the kids are sort of understanding about things going into boxes, "just for now" to go to the new house... but today the girls are asking me when we are going to bring the boxes back home. I'm not sure they totally get the moving thing just yet.

Trevor thinks we are going to always have two houses. Wouldn't that be nice?? Well, as long as I don't have to keep moving things back and forth and also don't have to clean both. ;)

at first I wasn't quite sure I was hearing her correctly but she kept singing away and sure enough that is what it was sounding like. Although she was really meaning IF you love.... pretty funny!!

Fun Family Outings!!

The sky is blue and the sun is shining here!! :) Yay!! Sure it is cold and windy out but that is okay from inside my little bubble aka my house, things look great in the outside world. :)

Well yesterday, Monday, the skies were blue and the sun shone brightly! Today it is crummy out... dark, over cast and YUCKY! No sign of the sun, it is cold again and windy and we are supposed to get some snow, ice or rain! Poo Poo!!!

So since today seems like a bright cherry day and I really want it to be Spring already with warm sunny days, flowers and trees blooming and nice green grass... I have been thinking of all the places I would like to go this Spring/Summer and take the kids. :)

Family Outings of 2008!

The Statue of Liberty We aren't too far from NYC so this is definitely a doable trip. I think they will be amazed at how big the statue actually is, at least Trevor will be, the girls may not understand so much. They will all love the boat/ferry ride over to the Statue of Liberty and I think it would just be a fun day and a great experience. :) We could also drive 1/2 way and then take the train down as another experience to have with them. Although Trevor has been on the subway before. :) Brooke and Lauren have not... well not yet.

Next on our list...

The Bronx Zoo! I would love to take the kids here, I thought about going last year, but with the wedding and then everything that followed, birthdays, another wedding, and everything else it was hard to work it out to actually get there!! This year I really want to do this. I love zoo's and I know that all three of the kids would LOVE this!! Believe it or not, I have lived in NY all my life and have never been to the Bronx Zoo. Most of the schools do field trips there, but not mine. Oh well this will be my chance to see it and even better show it to my children. :)

Hayden Planetarium I cannot wait to go here!! I love LOVE love things like this... I know call me a DORK. Okay... did you really have to?? I know I may be by myself when I say that I really enjoy things like this... but I do. I love learning new things, and I also really love the smell of these kinds of buildings and museums. I know I'm strange, I can't help this, you know!! ;)

and then I would like to go to....

National Baseball Hall of Fame this is something that I would like to see and I think Bryan would enjoy as well, but I know my father would LOVE this place!!! I'm not sure the kids would get much out of it, but I know Trevor likes baseball so maybe he would find it a little bit interesting.

The Toy Town Museum, this sounds great. Sounds like the adults could look back to their childhood through with different toys they see and the kids would have a blast looking at millions of interesting and cool toys all day!! Seems like everyone wins with this stop on our list.

in a New York minute... only it would take longer!! :)

Astroland Amusement Park & Wonder Wheel aka Cony Island. I have never been here, but think it would be really cool to go. I also heard something the other day about it possibly closing... I think it would be cool to take the kids this year if it will be closed next year... I mean this is Cony Island it is sort of like a museum in itself. :)

Our next stop will be...

The Maritime Aquarium! This is in Connecticut and I would really love to go here!! As much as I like going to the zoo, the aquarium is even more amazing and awesome!! This will be so fun to take them too!! I know they will be amazed and wowed with every turn we take and every new thing they see and discover. :) We took Trevor to an aquarium in SC when we were in Myrtle Beach and he loved it. He was one year younger than the girls will be this year so I know they will all really enjoy it. :) (the aquarium we took Trevor too was the Ripely's Aquarium)

while in Connecticut camping on the Long Island Sound, which we do every year since I was about 9 years old, I would like to go to...

The Mystic Seaport Aquarium! This isn't as impressive, I don't think as the Maritime Aquarium in Connecticut, but we will sure enjoy it and it is close to where we camp. ;) I think that the kids will enjoy every trip we take this year. They are all going to be some where they haven't been before and will see new things and even learn something at the same time. :) Just thinking about all this is making me want to pack some things and charge up the camera battery and hit the road. ;) But there are still a lot more places I want to take the kids...

Santa's Workshop This is in North Pole, NY. My parents took us here when we were little and we loved it. I also remember seeing dolphins here, which didn't happen, but I'm still pretty sure this was an amazing trip for us!! I think this will would be great to do this summer, they are all a good age, but I also think we have a few more summers to go that would work for this trip. :)

and another place up north of us...

White Face Mountain This is in upstate NY as well and this was some where we went when were did our Santa's Workshop trip... it was pretty cool to drive up the mountain and then once on top, or close to the top you can go into the mountain and take a tour to the very top! I think there was also a restaurant up there too. :) There isn't much there to see but it was still fun and something different we did and something I think my kids would also enjoy and look back at with fond memories.

up North even more...

Niagara Falls in NY and then go over to Canada while we are up that far. I think this would be amazing. I would love to go on a boat to see the falls, but not sure if the kids could or would do this. :) I'll have to check into this trip a little more. I have never seen Niagara Falls. We did go to Canada when I was younger and we did see Eisenhower Locks too, which I enjoyed, I thought it was really cool how the lock system works, but I'm not sure my kids would find enjoyment in that at this age. The falls they would think are amazing!! I know I would too!

while in Northern NY...

Great Escape ~ Six Flags & Splash Water Kingdom This is in Lake George, which I want to go to just to take the kids to Lake George, NY also. :) I think I will add this to my list as well, even though we will be in Lake George to go to Great Escape! I have never been to Lk George or Great Escape, but I'm sure this would be a great trip. I have heard a lot of wonderful things about both, the area and the park and what perfect family vacation spot this is!!

Water Slide World if Trevor was/is tall enough to do the slides at this park it would be totally awesome!! Brooke & Lauren aren't tall enough, old enough or interested in water slides just yet, so this wouldn't be too much of a thrill for them, but when they are a little bit older they would love it like Trevor will this summer!! :)

obviously next will be...

Lake George, NY I'm not going to type much here b/c I pretty much summed this one up with the Great Escape trip above. :)

Midway Park this seems like it would have something for everyone!! :) Family friendly park with rides and kiddie rides too! Just what we are looking for!! I will have to see if there is a campground near by that we could stay at. :) fun fun!!

speaking of family friendly parks this one I hold near and dear to my heart. my parents have taken us here many many times, and I still really love the place...

Knoebels Amusement Resort this place is awesome. They have everything, it is very family friendly and almost a home town fair feeling. The people are great the food is Yummy! The prices are reasonable and the entire vacation will be wonderful!! There is a campground right next door to the park so we could camp there and it would make life so easy. No loading the kids up in the car to go to the park for the day, I can take the girls back for naps while Trevor and Bryan explore the park some more. We could eat some of our meals at the camper to save some money! :) You have to check this place out it is stinkin' AWESOME!!!!

for a day trip...

Wild West City in NJ This place is very cool!! Especially for little boys!! My parents took, me, Trevor and my nephew Matthew here a few summers ago, Trevor was pretty little so he didn't get much out of it... but Matthew sure did enjoy it!! It was great. My parents took us here when we were little too, and we loved it!! This is something I really want to do with Trevor. I know he is at the PERFECT age to really LOVE it!! :)

for the girls and I think Trevor would still love it too!!

Sesame Place in PA I have looked at this before to take Trevor before we had the girls, but thought that he was maybe a little bit too young. Now I think they would all really LOVE it. This is more than a day trip... it is a pretty big place. Not Disney big, but big enough for three little kiddies, they would go crazy for all the Sesame Street characters!! :) This is one that is near the top of my list of things to do this summer!

while in PA...

The Crayola Factory we took my nephew here when he was about Trevor's age, and he thought it was fun. It isn't anything more than day trip, and not even a full day at that, but if we are near there already camping, then it is definitely something very cute and fun to do with the kids. :) It is pretty impressive to see how they make crayons and makers and a few other things as well. :)

I also want to take the kids to a bunch other things here are some more of my ideas:

• local fairs, we LOVE them!!
• Monster Truck show, at least take Trevor
• Stock Car races in Middletown, Trevor would like to see this and we could all go as a family something different to do
• a BIG Circus, there is one in Madison Square Garden soon, but I don't think we are going to be making it to that one
• into NYC for the day, just to spend the day, and go to the park, walk around go to FAO Schwartz and things like that.

And there are a million other things on my list... I have to work on it some more, but didn't want to keep this as a draft any longer so I will just post again some of my other ideas!!! :) I hope you are all having a good Tuesday!!! Toodles!

Spring Shopping Saturday!

We went shopping today. Yay!! I love shopping. Yes, even with a man and three small children. ;) I take what I can get. :) lol

Anyway... we went off in search of some Easter presents, and also a birthday present for my nephew, since his party is Sunday. :) (I'm late on getting a gift, but at least I'm not too late) ;) Anyway... it was like shoppers paradise, I only wish I had a little more time in the stores and a little less fussing from the kids... well mostly Brooke & Lauren some, Trevor was being really a good little shopper! :) He was actually riding in the stroller while the girls were running a muck... um... I mean running around behind me every where I went in the stores. :) lol

Old Navy had some awesome sales, we got Trevor a shirt in there and the girls each two sweaters for next year, and some tights too!! :) I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the prices marked down so low! You can't pass that up.

In The Children's Place I got Trevor some new pants for Spring and also because it seems that NO pants can stand up to the wrath of a 4 year old little boy! I think it is all the Matchbox & Hotwheels races and not to mention the Motocross events he holds daily all over the house, that does the knees on his pants in. :) We had pants that only lasted like 4-5 wearing before getting the dreaded shredded knee syndrome. But that is how I know he is playing hard, being a boy and enjoying his time thoroughly! :) Plus I might cut some of these up for play shorts for Summer. ;)

Anyway... in TCP, I got him pants, and then I got him this GREAT hoodie, zip-up sweatshirt, that will be perfect for Spring, cool Summer nights and then to start Fall with... and best of all it is his FAVORITE color GREEN and I also got it on sale for $5.00 off. :) I love sweatshirts, I love them for me they are so comfy and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them on my kids... they look so cute, I know they are comfy and warm but not too hot and they are just the best... Bryan has a lot of hoodie sweatshirts too. We are the sweatshirt family, I guess. :)

Then on our way to H&M to find Trevor some more pants for school we stopped in Target... there I scored the deal of all deals. Okay, maybe not as good as the Old Navy deals, but I got more stuff and I got things for Spring & Summer!! Go me!! The only bummer is that I only got for the girls in Target. But, it is a little harder to find good deals on things when you have to buy two of everything, so it will be easier for me to shop for Trev later on. :) In Target, we got 5 shirts for each of the girls ~ short sleeve and really cute for Summer and then 2 pair of shorts each... one denim one khaki ~ very cute as well, 1 zip up hoodie, really cute and will look cute with all the shirts we got them... and I think that is all... besides some other stuff we bought for Easter and birthday gifts. :) But we made out well. ;) We never made it to H&M we were out of room for carrying shopping bags and kids at this point and none of them had naps which was EXTREMELY apparent in the girls behavior so we just headed to the truck. :) It was a good day. I want to get back down to the mall soon and see what else I can scavenge up for them... I love when I can get stuff for the next season at totally ridiculous prices. Makes me all tingly inside. :) Like the deal I got in Old Navy, I got the girls each two hoodie knit sweaters, with 4 buttons by the neck and a front pocket on it, size 4T, originally $20.00 on sale for ......................... are you ready for this........................ drum roll please...................................................... $2.99 each. WOW!! You cannot beat that. I would have bought more than four, but that was all they had in their size, but at least I was able to get two sweaters each for them!! ; ) The girl that worked there said they may have more they will be putting out so I might have to check back in really soon!! ;)

So that is the scoop for Spring Shopping Saturday! I'll keep ya'll posted on any other great finds I get! I have to check out Baby/Kids Gap too because they usually have some awesome deals too!! ;)

WOW Wednesday!!

Good morning everyone out there in blogger land... I'm sitting here at my computer freezing!! My kids are all playing happily in my son's bedroom. Knock on wood... that they keep on playing so nicely. ;o)

It is freakin' cold in these parts today!! No reason for weather like this. None at all. If it was going to actually do something like snow... then okay, you can see if being in the 20's and 30's, but when it is this way for NO reason at all, come on that is just ridiculous. And, trust me, I'm not looking for any snow either!! I think "cold" winter weather should be about 50 at the least.

Oh well! The kids are done playing nicely in Trevor's bedroom together... they are all swarmed around the computer like a mob of angry wasps just waiting to attack me... Uh! here we go... Lauren is nudging her way up here on my lap... and she is up. Brooke is begging me to "color"... meaning she sees the pen laying here on the computer desk... she LOVES to color... she will color for the longest time... Lauren isn't so interested in coloring... well at least not as long as Brooke will do it... and Trevor is at the age where he is drawing "real" things... it is soooo cool!!

Anyway... it has taken me all morning to type this... I was on the phone with my mom, then I called Desire and and then I talked to Bryan a bunch of times, and then I talked to Desire again, then I had the kids Pine Sol-ing the kitchen floor... Hey don't judge me. They like it. They ask to do and so I oblige and let them do things that make them happy!! : ) They each had a wad of paper towels sprayed with some Pine Sol solution and were happily cleaning away! Trevor even cleaned the baseboard and the heater for me... the girls are still at it Trevor had to use the potty and hasn't returned to us yet.

What are the child labor laws in NY state anyway??? LOL

And the race is on...

I'm only typing a few lines here because I have to get a move on. I have to be in Rock Hill in about 1 hr 15 mins. And, I have to get all three kids feed, cleaned up, possible baths all around and then dressed, out the door, in the truck, on the road, pick up my dad ~ who will help me at the doctors with Lauren & Brooke ~ and to the doctors for Trevor.

They are all eating now, and in a few minutes I'm going to go pick out everyone's clothes and then start getting them dressed or if time will allow give them all a quick wash down. I hate taking them any where, especially the doctors without a bath. My kids all have a bath/shower almost everyday. I know I like to bath everyday it makes you feel so good that I want them to feel good too. Plus they are all pretty mess, being that they are only 4 & 2 so they need regular baths.

I'm rambling and I really have to go get things ready. I'll be back later.

Talking about Talking!

Brooke and Lauren have been talking up a storm lately! It is really cool! Trevor talked a lot at this age too, probably even more because he was an only child at that point, well I guess he was a big brother already at the age the girls are now, but anyway, he talked earlier on.
Well, today Lauren and Brooke were eating their breakfast, in the living room. {I know I know, not a good habit to start or let them do... oh well!}
And, Lauren came to me, asking for some more breakfast. She actually said...
"Mommy, I need more toast. Brookie too! Brookie need more toast too!"
I love it! Where did she learn to use "too"?
Then I gave her some more french toast sticks, and then went in the living room to ask Brooke if she wanted some more to eat. And she said...
"Nah... I good"
How funny is that?? That is totally something Trevor would say! {a little better but same concept}
So I asked her again, "Are you sure you don't want some more to eat, Brookie"
and she said...
"Nah, I good. No more breakfast. Mommy look Ego {Diego} on!"

They are just getting too big. I can't believe how well they put things into sentences these days. Brooke is always asking "Where is MY.... " And she will ask for her blanket, binky, her Trevor, her Daddy, her Lauren, anything... but she says it in a sentence form. Of course with Brooke there always has be the MY in there, she is very possessive.
Lauren has been talking a little longer then Brooke, but they are almost even now with the amount of words they use and say and how many they can string together. Lauren maybe is a little easier to understand, but Brooke is pretty good.

Just now Brooke came to me and said... "Where MY toast?" I guess she changed her mind. LOL

Well anyway, I better get going and do some things around here. We have another busy day today. I have to pick Trevor up from school at 1, so he can come home and have a nap with the girls before we all get ready and go off to the doctors at 4:30 & 5 PM today. The girls have their 2 year check up appointments and I'm going to see {hopefully} if everyone can get a flu shot. Then we have book fair at Trevor's pre-school tonight also. Busy, busy, busy!!
