playing catch up....

Hmmmm... what did we do this weekend and week (so far).....

Okay... so Friday... I can't remember. Friday Bryan was off from work... for the HOLIDAY weekend... which was nice. We all slept in some... and then hung out doing a few things at home. Bryan got Trevor's motocross bike all spift up and ready for him to go out and practice at the track... his first time on the real track.... he has been on a track that Bryan made him here at the house and at the old house and has road his bike at Bryan's mom's house too, but he was excited to be on the real track. I was happy for him and NERVOUS as hell. He did great. On Friday I also meet Adelle & Amanda (she works with Adelle) for lunch, it was nice... we had Chinese!! YUM...

OH Yeah... on Thursday we went to the CIRCUS!!! we have gone for the last three years... this was the first time we took the girls to it... not sure why we didn't take them last year... maybe so we could do something with just Trevor so he had some one on one time, not sure... but they all LOVED it. It was different than the last few years so that was nice, but it always cute. Nothing too extraordinary, but something fun and local to do with the kids. :) We went to the earlier showing so after that we grabbed a pizza and a chick parm hero and went to see Bry's mom and Lowell at the campground where they have their camper for the Summer. They just put it in the weekend before. We hung out there for a while after having dinner, the kids had fun... they got to make some marshmallows while there, which is one of their favorite things to do... AND they are actually getting pretty good at it and will even eat most of them, themselves!!! lol Trevor is really good at getting most of his just right... a little brown all the way around and melted all the way through!! :)

Okay... back to Friday... I took the girls and their bikes up to the track for them to ride while Trev practiced.. Adelle meet us up there, or shall I say we met her, she was there first. lol They had a good time, but were tired... so a little cranky and I had NO voice almost... it started going at the circus for whatever reason, I wasn't even yelling or anything just started loosing it, and then it hasn't come back yet... But anyway... we did the track thing... My poor lil' boy got hurt... he fell and the foot peg went into his knee... did a pretty nasty gash/cut... deep too, and had his leg lumped up and bruised good too. :( Broke my heart to see him in pain... I can't take my kids being hurt... we got him some ice and he sat in the back of truck for a little while still not feeling great. I gave him some Motrin and put a band aid with antibiotic cream on it on his knee and he said it still hurt... I can only imagine... poor dude!! He did however want to go back out on the track... that night even and was kind of upset with Bryan and I when we told him no. I was concerned about how bad his knee was hurt... he hadn't walked on it yet since he hurt it... there was NO way I was letting him back out.

He did walk on it and it was okay... just really sore, we got home and laid him on the couch with his knee elevated ... he fell asleep pretty quickly.. he was tuckered out... long day and did a lot of laps on the bike... while he slept I put an ice pack on his knee... I think it helped keep the swelling down some... I hope it helped ease some of the pain...he slept through the night but in the morning said it still hurt. I imagine it did. But he is a trooper and still did okay playing with it... even went on the trampoline ~ which Bryan and I got the sides up and Bryan tied it all down so no one can get hurt falling off of it again. (Lauren fell off of it about a month ago and hit her face hard on a 4 x 4 piece of wood... my poor baby ~ I took her to Urgent Care, and thankfully everything was okay with her)

So Saturday ~ July 4th ~ we hung out in the morning all playing outside, jumping on the trampoline together and having fun... did some house work and stuff... got things ready for later... then got the kids and ourselves ready and headed to the store to grab a few things... Wally World was on lock down bc they had a missing child... a 7 1/2 month old... it was horrible... long story short after several hours, they found the little girl... Brook, face down in mud about a 1/4 mile from Wal-Mart... the father put her there... then went to W-M and said she was stolen from his stroller... he is piece of shit and should die a slow painful death. thankfully they found the baby and she was unharmed. what a dirtbag. i could go on, but i'm not.

anyway... we got some stuff and headed to Bryan's mom's campsite... his brother and sister-in-law and niece were here from NC... on a surprise visit... it was nice to see them. Bry's other brothers, Kevin and Joey were there too... it was his mom, step-father, brother Danny, wife Christy, daughter Alyssa, brother Kevin, daughters, Katelyn and Lacy, brother Joey and wife Cassie, his grandparents, a family friend Liz, us then later, his sister Shelby, cousins, Kelsea, Andrew, Eileen, and Kelsea's boyfriend came, and so did Steve & Adelle and Richie and Alyssa... it was a good time. :)

the fireworks were okay... we also left the camp and went to see the fireworks at the race track... they were nice. :)

the kids were sleeping for the second fireworks, but they didn't even know they missed anything and they were tired out... it was a long day... they had put on a lot of of miles... with starting off the day on the trampoline to running around the campground... it was a lot. :)

We all came home and went to bed. :)

Sunday Bryan went off on his road bike with Steve to a diff moto track to watch the races, so the kids and I packed up and went to my parents house... they had a blast... first my dad set up the kiddie pool for them, and they had fun in that. They also played in the sandbox and on the swing set and rode their bikes some... then my dad, being the WONDERFUL Grandpa that he is, took all three kids in the big pool!!! THEY LOVED IT!! Trevor has been in a few times this year already & loves it.. this was the girls first time this year and they had a great time... they were both a little nervous at first... but Lauren warmed up to it really quickly and Brooke came around soon there after!! :) I'm glad the enjoy it... I wish that they could get swimming lessons so they could all be swimming this Summer, but that isn't too likely. Maybe I can find a book or website that tells you how to teach your child to swim. Trevor will be 6 in Sept... I think that maybe he should know how to swim already... the only problem is not having a lot of time to practice... we only have a few short months of Summer and we don't always have access to water... unless I get him swimming in the big bath. lol

We had dinner with my parents and my brother, nephew ~ Walter and my sister-in-law had shown up so they ate with us too. The kids loved getting to see Walter, but they were all tuckered out... another busy and long day! Not too long after dinner, I got the truck all loaded up and headed home...

After getting home, I got a message from a friend of mine.. Bee... she was home recovering from surgery that she had the week before, and said she would LOVE some company... it was only a little after 7 so I hopped in the truck and went to see her. She only lives a few mins from me and it was nice to get to visit and to get out of the house w/o the kids. :) I love them, but a break every now and then is soooo nice!! Plus, I haven't talked/visited with Bee in ages. I see her every now and then and see her at the dental office, but it isn't the same as getting a few hours to just shoot the bull... we were chatting so much that it was after 11 when we realized the time... I didn't mind bc it was a really nice visit. I'm going to go back again soon... she is out for 6 wks... ugh... and I'm sure is bored at home. lol when she is feeling much better and up to it... I'll take the kids over too... we'll see though, she is still newly recovering. :)

Then let's see... Monday, Monday... what happened on Monday???? oh yeah... I put up my new clothes line... and happily hung out two loads of laundry... I also cleaned the deck off, cleaned the patio set ~ table and chairs and re-arranged the deck so that we can sit out there for dinner and stuff... and cleaned up the yard some and did some stuff to make our tiny backyard more user friendly! :) (** our property isn't really that small it's over an acre, the problem is that it's on a hill and covered in trees... we are going to work on both problems, but not just yet.. it takes money and time... we have some time, but very little money right now... so for now we have to make due with the yard we do have... so it was nice to move things around... make the table usable and also create a little seating area in the grass with some Adirondack chairs and a small plastic table... We also ate dinner at the outside patio table on Monday... the kids LOVED it. & the weather was perfect for it.. there weren't even any bugs!! it was GREAT!! :) Monday night after dinner we all went to the lake...we drove down instead of walking so we could get more time in at the lake... Bryan and Trevor slapped on some life jackets and tried out the new jet ski... they had a good time but it was almost out of gas so they didn't spend too much time on it... just enough. :) we all hung out on the beach and docks while the kids played in the water... then it was getting a little chilly to be wet as the sun set, so we decided enough lake, lets jump in the hot tub... we spent 40 mins in there.. it was heaven!! it wasn't really hot at all, it was some where around 95 so it was okay for the kids to be in there... i know hot tubs aren't safe for kids bc if they are too hot the kids can get a fever from it bc their body isn't that good at controlling it's temp just yet... but they were safe and enjoying the jets with us. :) it was a nice family night. :) we then came home, changed and watched some tv together before heading off to bed.

I stupidly wore my pedometer into the hot tub... but thankfully it still works fine. :) I'm amazed. the only bad thing that happened was when i was drying it off i accidentally reset it... but I knew what the numbers were from looking at it to see if it was ruined... so I just wrote them down on Monday and started over again today. :)

Today we did nothing much... OH!!! yeah. yesterday.... aka Monday, we went to check our mail at the PO... it has been a LONG while since we got it... and while we were out and about we got some ice cream at the Candy Cone! :) the kids LOVED it... they were EXCELLENT while we were there... amazing little listeners!! :)

Today it rained here... the washer leaked all over, and I did some good cleaning in my bedroom and closet... made some headway... it's looking better in there... got rid of some stuff and organized some other things... can't wait for my closet to be done... need to get all the hardware... would love a California Closet... but they are a lot of money... will settle for Bryan and I picking out some things at Home Depot or Lowe's and doing it ourselves... I'm sure it will come out great... Bry is really handy so that isn't a problem at all and I think together we will come up with a great design!!

I also went to my parents house to hang out for a little while tonight... had a nice visit with my mom and Ellen and my dad some... he was out and the was watching the game. :) went through some baby pics of Trevor... he has grown soooo much... it's unbelievable.. and went through some pics from last summer... they have all changed and grown so much in the last year, it's scary how fast time is going and how big they are getting.

And, now I'm up typing this bc I can't sleep... ugh!! maybe I'll go watch some TV bc my back and neck are killing me now...

nighty night!

ROCKING!!

I have most rocking blog friends ever!! You guys totally gave the BEST advice... mostly because you agreed with me and supported me on the fact that...

1. this bitch shouldn't have pictures of my kids posted ANY WHERE without my permission.

2. that it doesn't matter if it causes WW6 and I have to lay the smack down on her candy ass, I still need to say something and have every right to say something.

3. she is a bitch.

4. she needs to get kicked in the head. AND since a few of you said this... I'm thinking, seriously that she needs to get kicked in the head repeatedly and on numerous occasions. lol (just kidding, I'm not that violent.................. well not YET anyway!)

AND... I am going to say something directly to her... and I'm going to make sure there is a live audience so that my words cannot be twisted in any way, shape or form, not that I give a shit... I'll just have ONE more reason to add to my many of why I HATE... too strong of a word, and I'm trying to use it less! dis-like HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE with a passion! HATE HATE HATE! this skank bitch! girl!

BUT ... Missy has graciously offered to be in charge of gathering bail money... you know... in case I have to bring the SBWAK ~ aka ~ Skank Bitch Whoop Ass Kit and use it on her. THANK you very much Missy! And anyone that would like to help with the bail money that is much appreciated also. IF you are interested in helping with the SBWAK, well then I might have to charge you... it is, I'm sure, going to be a LOT of fun!! Well on second thought, since you are my girls and I love you so... there won't be any charge! you can use my SBWAK kit! :)

I'll keep you all posted on what happens when I finally get to track this dirty whore down and tell her NICELY about the pictures!! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT & CARING!! <3

What to do?

I was just searching around with my friends last night on some people's MySpace pages, which I do not have one of. While on there, we saw a girls page that I'm not friendly with and actually had words with on New Years Eve, because she is a chronic trouble maker, and big time liar. We ended our words with the idea that I wouldn't kill her, but that we aren't friends and I would just deal with her because she is our cousin's girlfriend. End of discussion. So anyway... while on her page we saw pictures that she posted from New Years... she had pictures of everyone on there, and it was kind of annoying because truth be told, no one likes her or can stand her, and she pretty much knows this but still wants to put it out there that she is all friendly friendly with all of us. Whatever. I could care less. Those that know me, know I can't stand that two faced, fake ass, lying bitch and so they know we aren't friends. And, for those that don't know me, well then since they don't know me I could care less what they think of me. lol

BUT! here is the big BUT!! I found pictures of my kids on her page. AND her page is public! Of course you are all like... "well you have pictures of your kids on your blog.... so what." BUT my deal is this... ONE... this is a blog. and most people that are here, I am "friends" with or are friends of a friend of mine... I don't think blogs get as much attention as MySpace... so there for the pictures that I have up of my children are not viewed by a large audience. Also they are my children and my pictures. On her page, they are MY children and she posted them with out permission on a very public site.

AND to top it all off... she spelt Trevor's name wrong. Now I know she is completely stupid and ignorant silly little pig, but come on now... if you are going to plaster your page with pictures of my children at least spell their name right. jeez.

So I want to say something to her. I want to tell her that she has to take them down, that I do NOT want them up... and I really don't and honestly it isn't just picking at her... I wouldn't want them up on any one's page on MySpace, but all the others are set to private and ONLY their friends can view the pictures they have.

BUT... another big one... I know this will start world war three... or what is it for us... maybe world war six. SOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo... I wanted to know what you all think about it and what you would do.

I totally want to kick this bitch's ass for this and many reasons, but I'm trying to be a lot more grown up this year and not let petty shit like her bother me.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

xoxoox thanks

bored

today i'm bored.
there is plenty to do, but for some reason i have little to no focus or ambition.
i want to do something, but nothing that is here for me to do.

yesterday we took a trip to just get out of the house and walk around the mall.
window shop.
on our way the truck started making a HORRIBLE noise... sort of like a flat tire.

but, it got way worse.
we stopped.
it was our brakes.

we went in to Lowe's and looked around.
got back in the truck to go to the mall.
noise is worse.
brakes seized.
tires locked up.

we are in traffic.
Bryan gives it gas.
something breaks free.
we go.

we have to stop again.
holy shit.
we stop.
we can't get going again.
almost get rear ended.

we move.
HORRIBLE noise again.
we are thinking the worse.
big $$$$$$.
possible tow.

Bryan calls his brother.
he comes.
they try to find parts.
the calliper is ripped off.
bolt broken.

auto stores say no good.
discontinued part.

new truck?
i wish.

not today.
they go to Lowe's.
found the right bolt.

go to Sears.
get the right wrench.

problem solved.
truck is good.

yay!

thank God my BIL and my dad and brothers know how to fix stuff because other wise it would have been a LOT of money for us to have the truck towed and then fixed. ugh. it ended up costing us about $50 total. not too shabby. we were thinking a LOT more than that.

Today

Today is a new day. A fresh start. And I? I am going to be greedy and grab right on to this free chance to start new!

Amazing how, life just gives you so many new shots at doing things right or better or even just different. Every day that we open our eyes is a new chance. Don't let it pass you by, and please don't take it for granted, you never know when the time will come that your eyes just won't open again to a new day.

Say a little prayer

Please say a little prayer for the families of a dear friend of ours. Freddie Taggart passed away on December 28th, at the age of 38. He was a good friend, always happy, joking, smiling and laughing... just a total sweetheart. He was a great father, husband, son and man. He left behind 6 beautiful daughters and a wife, other family and lots of friends.
I'm heartbroken by this.
I found out yesterday that he had passed away
and I just can't get it out of my mind,
not even for a little bit.
I've tried to do other things, but they don't
distract me enough.
38 is too young to die. To leave behind
children and family and friends that love you and
will miss you terribly.
I have seen so many of my friends and family
die at young ages it has me questioning a lot of things.
Freddie was a party guy... a happy fun guy.
So tonight for him... I'll be having a drink.
Freddie you were always loved,
you will always be loved,
you will always be remember and
you will never be forgotten.

Getting There...

AND where exactly is there you ask?? There is here. AND here is a comfy home that has insulation, walls and paint on them. :)

We still have more to do and further to go, but we are getting closer to being done. :) Today I painted the hallway from the bar to our bedroom, and by the stairs, and then I went a little crazy and painted ONE wall in the kitchen, as an accent wall and also because we are using the paint for downstairs and I'm not sure we will have enough to finish the little bit by the stairs ~ (it didn't get painted today because we forgot to prime it last night and it is small sections near wood and carpet, so I'm not feeling like messing with it today, maybe later but definitely NOT NOW!!) but anyway... I think we may have enough for me to do the rest of the kitchen... but even if I don't get to... I like the way it came out... it gave it some life some color... it was all white and didn't look very inviting or comfy.

I also did some laundry which I haven't done in a few days, so we are backed up some... but thankfully I am down to only a few more loads... although I may have to wash all the winter coats because they are dusty from sanding the spackeling. ugh. As is the rest of the house. I'm going to go work on cleaning that too... I'm going to start downstairs by the WOman Cave and work my way up... I'm not really feeling like doing this... but I have to. I think I burnt myself out this morning with cleaning some and painting... it tired me right out.

My hands also really hurt from holding the paintbrush and the roller... I had to cut in a lot with the paintbrush and that just kills me. I could barely keep a hold of it after a while.

BUT enough complaining... WE ARE MAKING SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS!! yay!! This is definitely calls for a celebration... so our New Years Eve Party will be a good time to celebrate everything. :)

LIFE
FAMILY
FRIENDS
GOOD FOOD
GOOD DRINKS
GOOD TIMES
GREAT MEMORIES
A NEW HOME that is FINALLY coming together
A BRAND NEW YEAR TO COME!! :)

Well I have to go wipe some one's tushy... I wonder how old the girls will be when they will wipe their own tushes and do a good enough job so I let them do it??? Hmmm... something else I will be thinking about. ;) lol

Where Am I?

I've been trying to get to the computer for days now. I have had a lot on my mind and a lot I wanted to blog about.

Things have just been wild here lately. But in a good way. We had a great time with the kids and seeing family for Christmas Eve and Christmas, it was very nice. I wish we got to see some more family members, but it just didn't work out for us that way this year. But hopefully we will make some great plans for next year. Maybe even hosting Christmas Eve or Christmas day dinner... but I'm not sure. I'd like to do it because then I get to see everyone and they come to me, but I'm not sure I could handle it all. I also would like to take that work off of my mom's shoulders. We'll see... we have about 362 days to think about it and plan it.

For now, one of my focus' is getting the house cleaned up and done for our New Years Eve party. I'm looking forward to having a good time with friends and family, but I kind of wish it was over with already. I'm not entirely sure why I'm feeling this way. I guess because I know it will be a lot of work to have everything ready for it. We are getting really down to the wire, and there is a lot more we want to do before hosting the party. But since it is family and friends coming I'm sure they won't judge any of it. AND we have only been living here for two months and redoing more than half the house.

Speaking of the house, I have some pictures to post of our house... it is a little bit late, since some of these things we did when we first moved in, but you know how the saying goes... better late than never. lol :P

I'm determined to make 2009 a much better year. I want to make it better for my children, my husband, my parents, my family, my friends and for myself. I want to work really hard to make this year count. I want to laugh a LOT, smile often, make awesome memories with the ones I love. I want to forgive and forget quickly and learn from mistakes instead of carrying them around with me to think about constantly and harp about. I want to think wonderful thoughts, and have great daydreams and not worry and stress about things that aren't worth my time or thought process. I want to be more responsible for the things I can take responsibility for and be carefree with the things that I have NO control over... and let it be in fates hands.

I want to enjoy every single day of 2009. I want to call old friends and get together. I want to catch up and have fun conversations and take pictures. I want to go on walks with my kids and let them run and scream and be little. I want to go to the lake every day it is nice. I want to run through the hose and laugh till it hurts. I want to hug and kiss my children every single day and realize just how truly blessed I am. I want to have time with my parents and go to dinner with them and talk and enjoy them. I want to hang out with my brothers and their families. I want to meet some of my blogging friends IRL. I want to learn to let go and move on. I want to know that there are going to be bad days, but that is all they are... just a bad day... and that tomorrow will be better. I want to be able to cry, get it out, wipe the tears away and know that I'll be okay. I want to be a better mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend... PERSON. And most of all... I AM going to do all these things.

Some dreams are just that, dreams. Some dreams you can't ever touch. These are all touchable. These are within my reach and I'm going to grab tight and not let go till I reach my destination. This is going to be a GREAT year. I know it!!

~well I so wasn't expecting all that. I was just going to post a few things, some updates and rambling, but then that all just came out and well there you have it. I wasn't going to do a year end post because I have been having a lot on my mind lately and stressing to no end... but this just seems perfect. Unplanned and just right.

Here's to 2009!!

Hubby List Meme

I got TAGGED by Jenn at MY KIDS ARE MY WORLD blogspot! :) She is the bomb!! I have been needing some blog material and she tagged me like she read my mind... I didn't even have to tell her I needed something to do, she's just good like that!! :)

Thanks, Jenn :) <3

SO... here it is:

Hubby List
*Now the rules are simple.
Link it back to me.

1. Pick your sweetest picture when you were still friends and post it on top of the questions and answers.
2. Another pic now that you are together post it after the questions.
3. Share to how many friends you like.
4. Enjoy doing it :)
5. Let your hubby read it too!

I don't have a picture of us from the old days, well not easily available and I'm too lazy to go searching for it... maybe another day I will post one... sorry.

Can you remember the day you first met your hubby?
Um... sort of. I know I was a freshman in High School, I can't remember the exact day, we were introduced by my boyfriend at the time, who was best friends with my now husband.

When was that? (doesn't have to be specific)
September of 1993

First impression.
Not as obnoxious as the other friends. Nice guy, nice smile.

Were you attracted to him?
Um. Not really then because I didn't think of him in "that" way we were only friends. But, I did think he was a nice looking guy.

Were you friends before he became your boyfriend?
Yep. We even went to Junior Prom together, him with is date and me with mine. lol

What was the sweetest thing he did for you?
Um... there are a lot of things he has done sweet, but one of the best things, I think, is that he let me have my dream of being a SAHM. :)

What are the things about him that you are thankful for?
That he goes to work every day, to have a break from him. LOL JUST KIDDING!! really I am!! things I'm thankful for are... that he is a hard worker, he is a good father and a good husband, he is honest and wouldn't ever lie or cheat. He would do whatever he had to do for us to have whatever we needed or wanted. He is a great provider. He is also pretty funny and entertaining. And I'm also glad he is pretty smart, although he does have a BIG head about it he is pretty good at anything he tries. shhhhh do NOT tell him I said this!! I will hunt you down if I have to!

Title Not Available :P

Good Morning.

Here in upstate, but not all the UP - upstate, New York it is FREEZING. I'm talking not being able to breath outside kind of FREEZING. So cold that you don't even see your breath any more because your nostrils are FROZEN shut from the frigid temperatures and you aren't able to actually breath. Now that is cold. That is beyond cold. That is totally ridiculous. This isn't the arctic circle this is NY we are talking about. What is going on??

Okay. Okay. To be very truthful with you all I may or may not have caught some drama bug from my three year old daughters... I have heard that it is contagious, not highly, but none-the-less contagious. And, I tell you folks this because I haven't even stepped one foot outside, nor do I plan on doing so. I can tell how cold it is in my house, where it is supposedly heated so I know it has to be at least a million, trillion, KAbilizion ~ yes that DOES happen to be a word! ten times worse outside. There is no chance of me and the outdoors meeting today.

I also have no vehicle today. Which sometimes bothers me, but today I have no problem staying home, hanging out and most importantly NOT going outside where it is so freakin' cold. After yesterdays tree hunting trip, I'm good with no outdoors for a while.

The day went fine, the kids were GREAT EXCELLENT during breakfast, like OMG perfect little angels. Not even just my kids... my two nieces were excellent too. I'm telling you, NOT feeding them for a month week a few days before taking them to eat in public really worked. They sat. They ate. They were quiet. They were happy. They were well behaved!

*fun-ness level = 10 (breakfast/dinner)

Score ONE for the parents! oh and the kids I guess too, after all they were the ones that had good behavior.

Getting the trees wasn't too painful/horrible bad. The girls fell asleep on the way up to the place, do you call it a tree farm? Well anyway they zonked out. So they are always a little whiny fussy when they are woke up from any nap... I can understand this... I'm not always the most pleasant either and not after I'm awakened from a nap too. (LAUGH) (APPLAUSE) :P

*fun-ness level = 10 (drive up)

Okay, so anyway... we got them all bundled up, and then off we went...

*fun-ness level = 2 (getting 3 kids bundled up)

up, up, up, UP the mountain.... NOPE no trees that we like and/or want

*fun-ness level = 5 (going up the mountain)

down, down, DOOWWWNNNNNNNNNNN the mountain, way more fun with little kids than going up, the mountain.

*fun-ness level = 8 (going down the mountain)

Across the icy parking lot, across the little dirt road, over the small brook, where every child tried to get into the water via the small bridge with NO sides.

*fun-ness level = 2 for adults 9.5 for kids (parking lot, ice, water, bridge)

Then...

up, up, up, UP, UP, UP the other mountain with all the kids... who were no longer having fun or cooperative with walking, standing, listening, getting along or even being carried.

*fun-ness level = -3 (going up the mountain)

FINALLY they found a tree! yay! yippee! Oh JOY! Oh RAPTURE!! yay! Goodie Goodie Gumdrops!!

*fun-ness level = 9.5 (finding a tree) ~ only b/c this means we can LEAVE!

Then...

down, down, DOOWWWNNNNNNNNN the mountain again.

*fun-ness level = 9.8 (down the mountain & LEAVING!)

So at about the second up, up, up, UP the mountain it was beyond windy, snowing and freezing. My head was so cold that I couldn't barely talk because my mouth was frozen. It would have been an excellent time for any facial piercings I have been considering but we didn't come prepared... darn it!!

Get down to the brook, little bridge, dirt road, icy parking lot and truck... get the kids unbundled and in the truck with the HEAT on HIGH. Say our goodbyes, pay for said tree, and off we go!!

*fun-ness level = 8.5 (brook, bridge, dirt road, icy parking lot, undressed road, HEAT, goodbye, pay for tree, off we go!)

The drive home is about 40 minutes or so, and by "or so" I mean I'm totally guessing because I didn't pay attention AT ALL to the time... I just know it felt like 5 hours and I know it couldn't have really been that long so I'm trying to be rational.... so we'll go with 40 minutes.

The kids were LOUD, picking on one another, crying, fussing, whining, annoying and did I mention LOUD??

*fun-ness level = -6.5 (riding home with three tired, bratty kids)

Came home and got everyone in for a nap. Laid on the couch watching TV until I dozed off myself and slept for over an hour.

*fun-ness level = 10+ (kids napping, mommy napping, daddy watching football) LIFE IS GOOD!

So that was our day yesterday... and I think I had a point to all this... like since we were out in the cold, frigid, Arctic weather yesterday there is NO need for us to venture out again today! :) Was that my point? Yeah... I'm not sure either, so don't feel bad.

So anyway... today we are going to frost some sugar cookies we made last night. We did cutouts so that they are more fun for the kids! :) I also have some sprinkles which are a HUGE hit with my kids... they love to put them on things more than they like to eat them. :P

And we might also make some Christmas decorations and stuff... not sure just yet. But we will probably do something.

Have a great day!!

Meme

I found THIS great blog the other day ~ Delta Kids ~ and I went there to visit today and found that April had tagged me for a meme. :) Since I'm trying to reach my 365 posts this year with out doing the formal blog365 thing of every day posting, and I'm short about 80-something posts, I'm happy to do a meme. Something fun and interesting instead of the other crap I was going to post. lol

Here are the rules:

Link to your tagger and list the rules
List 7 random facts about yourself
Tag 7 people (and make sure you check back and see what they say!)
If you're tagged, play along and pass it on

1. I LOVE coffee!! But I will only really drink French Vanilla coffee with French Vanilla creamer or reg coffee (if I have to) with FV creamer. BUT I love it. :)

2. I LOVE to have my hair cut, played with, brushed, styled anything... BUT I get the weirdest feeling... sort of like chills or pin and needles down my back and arms when I get my hair washed at a salon.

3. (for new readers) I have three children. I have a five year old little boy who's name is Trevor and he is ALL BOY ... ALL the time!! lol and I wouldn't have it any other way! :) I also have twin girls, Lauren and Brooke, they are three...(my son turned 2 and a week later I had my girls.... natural!) and full of drama and they are most definitely ALL GIRL, but not all the time... because sometimes they like to act just like their older brother.

4. I LOVED being pregnant!! I would do it again and again and again if I could. I would do it for other people too, but my husband and I have a little difference of opinion on that... so for now I haven't pursued that option ... YET! This is something I'd really love to be able to do for someone... what greater gift than the gift of a child/life for someone? I can't think of one.

5. I am a stay-at-home-mom, and I am not very good at it. I want to do more with my girls... teach them stuff and play with them more... really enjoy this time with them, because I know it is going to go by in the blink of an eye... in fact a lot of it already has... three years already wow.

And I know I'm going to miss them very much when they go to pre-school next year because I miss my son every day... it has gotten easier because he is very happy in school, but I still miss him.

6. I read the Twilight series and LOVED it!! I also went to see Twilight the first night it was out... sometimes I think I'm a little too old to be so into Twilight and (blush) Edward Cullen... but then I just rationalize that I JUST CANNOT help myself!! lol I really loved the books. I can't wait for the Midnight book to come out!! I read it online, what is there at least, and am hoping it comes out soon!!

7. I was a dental assistant before I was a SAHM and when I go back to work I'm not sure what exactly I will go back to doing. I loved being a dental assistant, but not sure if I will go back into that field or not. As of now, it is what I would like to do... I know it and love it and don't have to worry about what I will wear to work each day... scrubs are so easy, but I'm not sure if it will work out for me to do that again. We'll see.

So that is all there is about me... at least for now. :)

I usually don't tag anyone... but this time I will... if you get tagged and want to do it... great... if you can't or don't feel like it... that's okay too. And if you don't get tagged but want to join the fun... please feel free to. :) let me know in a comment and I will add your name and link you so that everyone can check yours out!! :)

I tag:

  1. Pregnantly Plump
  2. Amie
  3. Just Jamie
  4. Milly
  5. B Boys Mom
  6. Angie
  7. Tattooed Minivan Mom

MORE Annoying DUMB people...

~ ~
~
~ ~
~
~ ~
~

This time at Wal-Mart. I know you are all so surprised that I found STUPID people in Wal-Mart... but really I did. I found two complete dumbass stupidface JERKS!!! ugh. AND I found them both within a few minutes of one another...

~

I guess the saying is should be all JACK-ASSES come in pairs.... or maybe just my new saying is going to be that...

~

Well anyway... the shopping trip was pretty uneventful until we were leaving the store and walking to the truck. I had both girls out of the cart walking b/c it was full of groceries. We go out the one set of doors only to realize that we had parked at the other end of the store... no biggie. It was pretty nice out at that point in the day, it had warmed up so we didn't mind walking... ONLY I was concerned about having two 3 year olds walking through the busy parking lot with me, while I had to push a heavy shopping cart with a bum wheel... but we were doing okay.

~

Then Brooke decided to have a melt down and not want to walk... AT ALL. She wanted me to carry her.

~

Which I WAS NOT and COULD NOT carry her. There was no way!! So I was gently (LOL) convincing her to hold the cart and walk along with me... so she could have her skittles when we got to the truck... all the while making sure that Lauren didn't let go of the cart.

Brooke is crying pretty loudly... but I don't care b/c we are outside and who gives a crap how loud she is... I'm just glad she is walking along with me and holding onto the cart.

From behind me I hear some JACK-ASS *fake* crying loudly behind me... mimicking Brooke. But, if at all possible, they were being louder and far more annoying.

Now, not knowing who it is doing this... b/c sometimes there are mentally challenged people there shopping as well that maybe would copy a THREE year old who is crying and upset and I really thought that should be the ONLY kind of person that would mimic a crying THREE year old.

~

I thought it would stop as we made our way across the entire parking lot and were obviously IGNORING them as best we could. Neither the girls or I turned around to look at the JACK-ASS that I know realize is still following us and getting closer b/c the *fake* loud obnoxious crying is getting louder and louder.

~

We are a few rows from the truck still and now I'm getting PISSED off and kind of concerned on why this STUPID effing JACK-ASS would follow a woman that is by herself with two small children across a parking lot making fun of a small child or whatever it was that the MORONIC JACK-ASS was doing.

~

So I turn around and it is the older man, not old but probably around his mid to late 50's or maybe even early 60's is following us. Now my mom and I have ran into this STUPID JACK-ASS before at another place where he was harassing us and trying to talk to my kids and we were sort of friendly but kept ignoring him the best we could and walked away.

THIS time was different though... THIS time it was above and beyond just the regular stupid-ass annoying shit... this time he was being a complete and totally JACK-ASS and was totally OUT OF LINE for following me OR trying to talk to my children or have ANYTHING what-so-ever to do with them.

~

So as I turned around this is what happened:

Me ~ "What are you doing?"

ASSFACE RETARD ~ "shhh" puts his finger up to his face to shush me, as he starts to do the *fake* crying.

Me ~ "What is wrong with you? You are being a complete fucking JERK!" "Why are you making fun of a THREE year old?"

ASSFACE RETARD ~ "no, shhhh. When I do this they usually stop crying."

Me ~ "Are you kidding me? You are a fucking idiot. That doesn't help you are an ass. and STOP FOLLOWING ME NOW!"

ASSFACE RETARD ~ "oh. you are angry today."

Me ~ "yes. Because you are a stupid ass jerk. GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!"

ASSFACE RETARD ~ "you are really mad today."

Me ~ "Mad enough to run you over with my truck if you don't GO AWAY you stupid asshole!!!"

ASSFACE RETARD ~ finally got the hint and walked away... throwing his hand up in the air like I was the one with the problem.

ME ~ thinking to myself what a STUPID, MESSED UP, REJECT, SCHMUCK that guy was!!

So now I'm all fired up and annoyed again so I can't tell you the other story just now about the other JACK-ASS that I found in the parking lot of Wal-Mart.

Monday, Monday So Good To Me...

Whenever Monday comes, I used to feel a little bit sad. It meant that everyone had work again and I was off on my own once more. Sometimes with three children. BUT lately when Monday comes I feel a little bit happy. It means we survived another week of working on the house. :)
We are still there during the week, Bryan goes after work every. single. night. and I usually go over during the day. But for some reason lately the weekends have been kicking my butt. So Monday is sort of a welcome change. And although I know we need to get things done over at the "new" house I'm sure that everyone welcomes the change of going back to their job, even if just for a second.
We are making tremendous progress. :) AND we still have a tremendous amount of work to still go. BUT we are getting there.
Today I'm off to drop Trevor off at school and then go get some groceries, then we are going to come home and do up ALL the laundry (that is a total lie, b/c it will take me more than one afternoon to get the laundry done up, but it sounds ambitious!) and then I'm going to make dinner and everything. (I haven't made dinner in a long time)
Well right now I have to go get the girls and myself dressed... I've got Trev ready so one down, three to go.
I'll try to get back on here and post some more pictures. I'll also try to come around and say hi to everyone. I know I have been majorly slacking in the comment department, sorry.

You've got to be shitting me...

~ I just commented on Dysfunctional Mom's blog about this the other day! AND now I have no voice either!! DAMMIT!
Maybe it was power of suggestion to my body or something, because I had commented to Dysfunctional Mom that I knew where she was coming from with loosing her voice because every year, and a few times at that, I loose my voice. AND then you know what happened... I LOST MY VOICE!! ugh. It started to go yesterday but it wasn't too bad, just a little bit of "breaking" here and there, and then I went to bed last night with most of my voice... I'd say about 85% of it... and woke up this morning with about 2% of it. arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggg!!
This is so frustrating to me!! For many reasons! ONE ~ I'm a talker. I love to talk and do a LOT of it. TWO ~ I'm a yeller... this is good for my kids... because in all honesty I do yell WAY too much at them... so maybe this is a break for them or a lesson for me. (MAYBE) THREE ~ I have phone calls to make to the insurance company today and I also wanted to call about switching over all utilities... BUT I will not be doing that today. I am going to try to be as good as possible about NOT talking unless I NEED to to.
Being with the girls all day will be hard to not talk... we usually have conversations all day long. BUT at least they have one other to talk to and I can sort of whisper to them. AND they won't have me yapping and yelling at them today. ;)
This morning when Brooke was talking to me, I answered her in a whisper, so then she started to whisper too. LOL
Well I guess I'm going to just rest my voice as much as possible... and maybe see if I can find some honey and make a cup of hot tea with honey... I'm not sure I can bring myself to gargle with warm salt water, but I might try it once... I hope I don't puke.
So that is all for now. Although, I might be back, this is rather comforting to be able to express myself with out any strain. :)
toodles

450!

THE BRAIN CAN ONLY
ABSORB
WHAT THE SEAT CAN
ENDURE!
Last night we (Bryan, Trevor and myself) went to Open House at Trevor's school...
Bryan got to meet his teacher, Mrs. Dollard, for the first time,
and we got to see his classroom and also some things that he has made and written.
On our way into the classroom we noticed there were a few pictures hanging up and one of them was made by Trevor. :) *proud parent moment!*
There was also a sign hanging up... which said the above statement.
The brain can only absorb, what the seat can endure.
How true. Especially for a kindergarten class. :) I had some doubts at the beginning of the school year as to Trevor's placement, but now I'm very happy he is where he is.
I guess everything happens for a reason and some times those reason just work out perfectly!

Sadness...

~What makes you reflect on your life? What makes you really sit back and examine all that you have and all that is of significant value to you. Not monetary value, but true life value. To me, the most valuable things in my life, aren't things at all. They are people. Those people are my children, my husband, my parents, my brothers, my in-laws (you all know the ones I mean) my nieces and nephews and my friends.
.
~I always am wrapped up in every day life, and living it just to get by. Sure I love my life, my family and friends, but I don't always sit back and really take it all in.
I am wealthy because I have it all, I have a wonderful family. One that supports me and loves me for who I am. The take the good with the bad, the bitch with the mood swings. I'm blessed. I am in WONDERFUL health. I have no major illness and haven't ever had any either. I have never been hospitalized except when I had my children. I have my vision, my hearing and most of all my sense of humor. I am blessed.
.
~I have three beautiful children, and I do mean beautiful. They are gorgeous inside and out. They are loving, affectionate, passionate, smart, caring, funny, sharing, giving, generous and just all around amazing and wonderful. None of them have ever been ill. Sure we have had some common things, like colds and stomach bugs, but that is pretty much it. Both girls have NEVER had ear infections... knock on wood, and Trevor only had the beginning stages of one when he was under one year old. They have never had one single problem in life. They are 100% perfect, in every sense of the word. They are energetic and they play and run and do everything together. They love one another. They are healthy and growing like flowers. I'm truly blessed.
.
~I have a wonderful husband, whose head would swell at reading that, but I have to admit it is true. He is pretty darn wonderful. He puts up with me and my bitchiness and my truck driver mouth... and my mood swings and my nagging. He is good to me and our children. He works every day, very hard, to be able to support our family so I can stay home and raise our children. He helps me cook and clean... he even does dishes, laundry and vacuums. He is a great daddy to our children and just an all around good guy. I'm really lucky to have him in my life. I am blessed.
.
~I have wonderful parents who, still, love and support me in everything I do in life. They love my family and do whatever they can to help us out in any way. They are the most caring, loving and generous people I have ever known in my life. They are that way to anyone they know, not just us. :) I am blessed.
.
~I also happen to have the worlds greatest friends. You know the kind, the ones that are ALWAYS there for you, no matter what. The kind that offer a shoulder and an ear. That are always there to support you even if it is one of the stupidest things you have every in your entire life thought of doing... they tell ya that, but then are right there beside you helping you every step of the way. They want your dreams for you as much as you want them yourself and they try everything in their power to make that happen... as I'm typing this I realize this isn't just my friends that are this way... this is how my husband and my parents are too... I have this enormous, wonderful support team with me all the time, every second of every day... always there. Breathing the same air I breath and walking this same journey through life. Some of them are only 20 minutes away and some are an hour and 20 minutes away, but I still feel them right beside me all the time. Every. Single. Step. I'm never alone and I'm always loved. I AM truly blessed.
.
~The things that always make me take a look at life like this... for what I really have and what my true treasures are... are when people pass away. It always brings me right back to reality and quickly too. It always gives me focus to see what I really have and that I need and want for nothing. Of course there are the monetary things... the house, the car, the dreams, but those things I can live without... those things haven't made me who I am, and they won't change who I'll be. They are simply that... things.
.
~In the last few days, my camera took a crap, my fridge quit, my sugar glider died, my nephew's cat died, my friend, Jenn's cat died... and those are all set backs. The animals are truly sad and are going to be missed. But there is worse news. Much worse.
.
~My landlord's, who aren't just ever day run of the mill kind of land lords, they are family friends, they are loving, caring, giving, generous people, they have been so good to Bryan and I and my family I can't even begin to tell you. They are good people. Very good people. Well on Sunday they found out that their 38 year old son died. He left behind his parents, his wife and two young daughters, his brother and sister and other nieces and nephews. This is horrible. I am just so upset about this. I'm so sad for the family and those two little girls.
.
~Then today I talked to Alyssa, and I found out that her uncle, only 49 years old, died unexpectedly yesterday. I am so sad for her and her family. I can't imagine what they are all going through. I offer her any support and help she can use. I offer her my shoulder any time she needs to cry or vent or for anything. I send my condolences to her family. I'm in shock that this happened to her family.
.
~Tonight I talked to my mom, and she said that my aunt had called to tell her that a man that has lived in our neighborhood, well longer than we have, passed away. An acquaintance/friend of my parents. I'm very upset.
.
~This is a lot to deal with. To try to understand. Three people in three days. I'm afraid for tomorrow to come. I'm afraid to hear what it will bring. This is a horrible streak of bad luck, if you can even call it bad luck. I feel it way more than that. Worse than bad luck.
.
~There are other things going on as well in our personal lives, Bryan's job is taking away a major perk of them having work vehicles to drive to and from work. Something that we really were grateful for and relied in immensely. We will now have to buy a car for him to drive to and from work and also figure out insurance money and gas money and all that, while we are hoping to be moving and fixing up an entire house, which we haven't heard any new news on. Still waiting on contracts! We live in NY and the owner lives in CO... he was supposed to email them to our realtor Monday, but she hasn't heard from them.
.
~Anyway... this is all nothing. Thank goodness we have our health and one another. I just pray that tomorrow is a new fresh day!
.
~I do have some good news, the lady that does my nails, her assistant, another Jennifer, had her baby girl on Monday... on Trevor's birthday. See God does delivery great miracles too!
.
~Here is to tomorrow being a lot better!!
CHEERS!
.
~PS please say a prayer for all the families that have experienced a loss this week, please keep them in your thoughts. thank you.

Anything...

I only have a few minutes to type this... and trust me it isn't going to be anything great. :( I'm totally having a pity party for myself and really wish I could feel better right now. About something... or anything, really.

I just feel like I'm stuck. Stuck in the same routine, the same lifestyle the same every day shit... that I have been in since before I had my son and started staying home.

Don't get me wrong, I love being a SAHM... I do. And when I say I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, well that is partially true. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the realistic world. But, the fairytale world, that I sometimes wish I could really live in, I would trade being a SAHM for something like having the best of both worlds. Like I could stay home with my children, give them the love, nurture, comfort, structure, support, routine etc. of being a SAHM and get to cherish every. single. minute of their lives and watch them grow and learn and flourish... and at the same time have an actual REAL live life for myself. Like work and have friends and have something to talk about other than how much I cleaned my house. I would get up every day and actually get dressed and brush my hair... things that I honestly don't always do during the week. (sad, I know) I would have more of a purpose in life than just washing laundry and dishes, and cleaning the house and changing pampers, and wiping tooshies and giving baths... I mean of course there is always the hugs, kisses and tucking them in at night... and I do love doing all these things. Well.... maybe not the house work part... but all the others are pretty wonderful... and a fairytale in their own.

I miss having a REAL job, and a paycheck and this isn't even about monetary things, just about me having something... I can't put my finger on it... I guess it would me having a part of me that is really that... me... myself. Not as Mommy or as a wife, but as Jennifer...

And being a SAHM was my choice... actually my dream. As soon as I got pregnant, well even before that I always knew that I wanted to stay home with my babies. There was no way I could have ever left them at a daycare. I still don't think I could leave Brooke & Lauren, and we all know I have issues with leaving Trevor at pre-school, although that is getting much better now that I know he is having a good time there.

I guess I just feel like being Jennifer and having a life for me stopped the minute I started staying home and I'm really starting to feel the affects of it all lately. And, I guess a big part of why I feel so bad about it all, is because I really feel very guilty for missing things from before my children, missing the life I had. Although, it isn't that I'm wishing for my life back with out children, I'm just wishing for some of my life back, like Independence and something that is just ME!

Selfish. I know. And I'm sure that one day I will be working full time again and missing these days so dearly. I know I will. Time is going fast and I know before long I will be back at work and my kids will all be older and in school and they won't need me as much, and that will hurt too. I guess I just want everything.

Well I guess I'll con't on with my day here, I have to get Trevor dressed for school and still make his lunch... then I suppose I should brush my hair and get out of my bathrobe and actually get dressed....

Thanks for reading...

SSD

Do you suffer from SSD??? I know I do! I would love to go to therapy or seek medical help for this "condition" that I have, but unfortunately I don't have the time to go. I mostly don't have the time to go because of the disorder itself. So I would like to start a mini support group here on my blog... I will rant, vent and bitch about all the things that are bothering me, and you in turn can comment on my bitching or you can rant, vent and bitch yourself in the comments. :) I think this will be a positive experience for all and may help the symptoms of SSD lessen even if it is just a little.
You are probably asking yourself What is SSD? Do I have SSD? Could I be suffering from SSD and not even know? What are the signs/symptoms of SSD? How can I, too, get help from SSD? And finally you are probably asking yourself Why does she keep typing SSD????
So to answer your questions ~
What is SSD? It is simply SAME SHIT DISORDER/Disease ~ I prefer disorder, but it may be a disease!
Do I have SSD? You very well could be suffering from SSD if you have a husband, boyfriend, significant other, and if you have children, your own or others around you, if you have a home/apartment or other, if you have a job or seeking employment.
Could I be suffering from SSD and not even know? Most likely if you are suffering from SSD you know about it... but didn't know how to pinpoint exactly what it was that you were suffering from. More and more people discover that they too have SSD every day. Do not ever feel like you are alone.
What are the signs/symptoms of SSD? The signs are pretty obvious once you start thinking about how you spend your days and nights. The most typical signs are having to repeat the same shit over and over and still people just don't hear or listen to you, another sign/symptom is that you have to constantly do the same shit over and over... example, pick up the same toys, clean up ice pop sleeves from by couch EVERY.SINGLE.FREAKING.DAY (from your husband, not your kids) put shoes on shoe rack EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.ANYONE.COMES.HOME. put away toothbrushes, toothpaste, cup, deodorant, aftershave, tweezers, razor, potty seat, stool, towel, refill toilet paper, close shower curtain, hang up towels etc EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. ANYONE.ELSE.USES.THE.BATHROOM. There are many other signs of SSD as well that we will go over as we do our group blogging therapy.
How can I, too, get help from SSD? The help you need is right here. I'm offering free counseling for everyone... we can all help each other with this battle and together we will hope to over come the struggles of SSD and the pain it has caused us. This is a safe place for you to come and share your feelings and frustrations with SSD. I want you to feel free to express yourself how ever you wish and be as open and honest with us as you want. Bitching, venting and ranting are all welcome and will help you to cleanse yourself from this horrible disorder.
And finally to wrap things up...
Why does she keep typing SSD?? SSD is a global problem it isn't just in my home or yours... it is wide spread and by making it known it will help all of us. So I'm trying to get the word out about SSD and in turn get some more knowledge about it for all to share. We are not alone in this battle, and with spreading the word, we can help others in need. Please, I urge you, reach out and talk to someone you love about SSD, they too, could be suffering.
Well this is all for now, but knowledge is power, and together we can all try to beat this! (or beat the people that cause us to have this disorder!)
Because of SSD, I have run out of time to post more for now, but I hope to return later and add some to this hot topic!
Thank you for reading and I am sure I will be able to thank you all for your support and encouragement as we forge forward with this.
